Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 vs. MediaTek Helio X30, P35: Which Processor Is Faster? Detailed Specs and Supported Features Revealed!

The year 2016 has been a roller coaster ride for mobile phone and gadget technology. There were unexpected "explosions" with Samsung Galaxy Note 7, a number of phones emerging with Apple releasing quite a few iPhone models. With that, you are left to wonder what 2017 will look like. Well, here's a sneak peek. Qualcomm and MediaTek decide to offer processors that will support the latest technologies - Snapdragon 835 and Helio X30 and P35.

Qualcomm revealed that its Snapdragon 835 will be built by Samsung using 10-nanometer FinFET process. This packs 30 percent more parts into the same space, which offers 27 percent more performance but taking 40 percent less power. What does this mean? It means it will significantly improve your gadget's battery life. The processor also comes with a Quick Charge 4 which enables you to have up to five hours of extra battery life as well as five-minute charge. It is projected that phones with Snapdragon 835 will have its battery full in just 15 minutes.

MediaTek's Helio X30 deca-core that uses ARM's power-sipping A35 cores that is also very energy efficient. The X30 will also have two Cortex-A73 cores, and is said to be clocked at 2.8 GHz to get through the most demanding and tedious mobile phone task. It will support 40 MP cameras with video capture capped at 24 fps video as well as 16 MP camera with up to 60 fps video and 8 MP cameras with 120 fps. On the other hand, MediaTek Helio P35 chips come with two A73 cores at 2.2 GHz that can support up to 10 GB of RAM. Both these processors are set power mobile phones next year.

Although MediaTek's previous processors aren't as stellar as its rival Qualcomm - last year's X25 did not quite keep up with Snapdragon 820, this current lineup is quite promising. Stay tuned to GamenGuide for more updates.
