'Nioh' Release Date, Gameplay Details, News & Update: Tough Gameplay With Superb Resolution? Free Crimson Master Armor For Players! Details Here

"Nioh," the samurai-themed role-playing game developed by Team Ninja for PS4, is supposed to come out this year but some modifications were done based on the public's reviews and comments on "Nioh" Beta Demo done last August. However, those who pre-order might be in for some treat.

With the inevitable release set for February 2017, PlayStation Store is offering exclusives for those who will pre-order either of the Standard or Digital Deluxe Edition of "Nioh." Aside from the full game available in the Standard Edition, the Digital Deluxe would also include a weapon pack with 5 new weapons, a PS4 Avatar and a Season Pass.

A special gift will also be given to those who will pre-order at PlayStation Store or buy the pack during the first two weeks of the release. An in-game Nioh armor designed from the ancient statues in Japan will be included in the package. In the Pre-order Deluxe Edition, an in-game armor called The Crimson Master Armor, which was inspired by a real-life Samurai Legend Yukimura Sanada from the Sengoku Period, is also given away.

According to Game Director Yosuke Hayashi, "Nioh" is a challenging game that was specifically designed to be difficult. An Alpha and Beta Demo was released to measure the game's appeal to the public and at the same time to gather feedback and ideas on the game development. "Nioh is a new IP, so in a lot of ways we wanted to get users' feedback and understand whether we are going in the right direction," he said.

Since "Nioh" is specially designed for PS4, it has already been modified to produce great gameplay on a variety of PS4. For PS4 the Movie Mode has an unspecified "high-resolution graphics with stable 30 FPS" while the Action Mode have a "stable 60 FPS. In PS4 PRO with a 1080p Display, the Movie Mode have a "stable 1920 x1080 resolution with high-quality anti-aliasing at 30 FPS" while the Action Mode have a "stable 1920 x 1080 resolution at 60 FPS". PS4 Pro with a 4K display will have a Movie Mode that is a"stable 3840 x 2160 resolution at 30 FPS" while the Action Mode is "Stable 1920 x 1080 resolution at 60 FPS".

"Nioh" release date is scheduled to be on Feb. 9, 2017, for Japan; Feb. 7, 2017, for North America and Feb. 8, 2017, for the rest of the world.
