'Pokemon Sun and Moon’ Guide: How to Get a Charmander, Evolve Charmeleon and Charizard in the Game

One of the Pokemon many players are looking for in "Pokemon Sun and Moon" is the mighty and strong Charizard. And usually, in this game, there is a bigger chance to find a Pokemon in their starting form rather than catch the final form in the wild. Unfortunately, Charmander cannot be caught in the wild or at least no one has found its habitat yet.

But all hope is not gone as there are other ways that some suggest how to get a Charizard in the game.

Transfer Pokemon from Older Version

As of today, "Pokemon Sun and Moon" is not yet compatible with "Pokemon X and Y" Generation 6 Pokemon. So a trade wouldn't be possible unless players have the exclusive app "Pokemon Bank". This new app allows Pokemon transfer from the most recent Pokemon versions including White and Black, White and Black 2, Red, Blue and even Yellow.

"Pokemon Bank" uses its feature Poke Transporter that makes all the transfer quickly and easily. The app can be downloaded from the Nintendo eShop for a minimal fee of $4.99 a year. However, the game is not yet updated to read files from the "Pokemon Bank" but is already scheduled to be ready by January 2017 which is only a month away from today.

Catch it via Island Scan

Another possible way to find a Charmander in "Pokemon Sun and Moon" is to activate the island scan and hope that a Charmander will appear in one of the scans. According to reports, he should be found in Melemele Island but who knows if it can also spawn in the other island. So the best way to increase the chances of catching a Charmander is when the player already has access to all four island. In this way, if it appears in the third or fourth island, the player can get there quickly to catch it.
