Netflix Latest, News & Update:Streaming Site Released Their Download Feature For On-The-Go Viewing Of Your Favorite Shows And Movies

Netflix just announced their latest feature on their streaming site which will allows subscribers to download their favorite TV shows to watch on their Android and Apple phones even if they are not connected to the internet. Netflix subscribers can watch "Orange is the New Black", "Narcos", "The Crown" and "Stanger Things" anytime, anywhere they go starting Wednesday.

"While many members enjoy watching Netflix at home, we've often heard they also want to continue their Stranger Things binge while on airplanes and other places where Internet is expensive or limited," said Eddy Wu in a blog post. Wu is the director of product innovation at Netflix according to Comicbook.

Netflix also released a video on Twitter together with the announcement of the released of their download feature. "Airplane mode. Road trip mode. Stuck-in-the-subway-for 20-minutes mode. Your favorite stories are now available for download any time," the Netflix U.S. account tweeted.

Bloomberg  reported that Netflix's latest feature is the answer to their rival Amazon.com Inc that offers similar streaming services for movies and films. The offline viewing feature of Netflix will be available to subscribers that are located in "developing markets" like Asia and Africa.

The online streaming site has over 86.7 million subscribers all over the world and over 47.5 million in the United States. Netflix has been expanding its territories all over the world which where most of its growth is coming from and is planning to be released in more countries like China, Syria, North Korea and Crimea.

Netflix has produced original show that became a massive hit worldwide like the fiction-horror series "Stranger Things" that garnered favorable and positive reviews to both viewers and critics. Marvel has also been expanding their comic book characters in Netflix like "Jessica Jones", "Daredevil" and "Luke Cage".
