Tiny Tina proves to be hysterical once again in short film, '+5 to Punching: A Bunkers & Badasses Prologue'

There really is no stopping Borderlands 2. Four DLC campaigns and two characters is just the tip of the iceberg, as Gearbox has more DLC planned, a Game of the Year edition on the way, and now, another hysterical short film.

When Gearbox offered up the short film introducing the game's last DLC character, Psycho "Conductor of the poop train" Krieg, fans were smitten, and wanted more. "+5 to Punching" is the company's response to that request, and an all around great fan service.

Given Gearbox's reputation of late with other properties like Aliens: Colonial Marines and Duke Nukem, it's understandable why the company is unwilling to let go on one of its games that was actually well received. Regardless of how you feel about the company, it's easy to see that Gearbox knows what its doing with Borderlands.

The short film acts as a prologue for the game's last DLC, Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep. As you might've guessed, it features fan favorite, the titular Tina, whose zaniness is always good for a chuckle, and the short film is no exception. As Dragon Keep's been out for a while now, the timing of the short film's release is a bit off, but hey, better late than never, right?

It sets up how Tina goes about using Dragon Keep's D&D styled game of "Bunkers and Badasses" as not only a distraction to keep from being overwhelmed by, but eventually as a method of coming to terms with (SPOILERS) the death of a vault hunter from the original Borderlands, Roland. It also explains why Brick wants to play the game as a Siren of all things.

It's cartoony, but you can see where it's going to set up the DLC's story.

For anyone who's missed out on Borderlands 2, it's probably best to wait until the GOTY edition of the game comes out in October. It comes bundled with all of the game's DLC, characters, skins, campaigns and all. And at $59.99, will save gamers a pretty penny.
