Annapurna Pictures News & Updates: New 'Annapurna Interactive' Division Offers Its First Exciting Video Games!

Annapurna Pictures is one of the best movie production company that produces award-winning films. And now, the company is launching their first-ever video production which will be called 'Annapurna Interactive' featuring its two amazing video games this coming spring 2017.

Annapurna Interactive is a division which will produce and publish video games. Megan Allison, the founder, and CEO of Annapurna Pictures said the newly establish division will focus on developing the personal, emotional, and original games. "The artistry and diversity of interactive storytelling is exciting, and we look forward to exploring the limitless possibilities in gaming." She added. This was actually a dream come true for her since she had a long passion for video games and Nintendo's 'The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time was her all-time video game favorite.

The new division, Annapurna Interactive will publish two games. The first game will be Jason Roberts inventive "Gorogoa", it is a hand-illustrated story inside a puzzle that allows the players to solve the problem through moving panels on a grid as if they arranging framed drawings on a wall. The second will be Giant Sparrow's anthology adventure "What Remains Of Edith Finch" described as a playable collection of stories with different art styles and gameplay mechanics designs. This was not the first time that Annapurna Pictures has expanded outside the film industry. Just this recent, the company had a partnership to form a VR division with VRSE.farm.

In addition, Annapurna Interactive will release games from developers Funomena and Keita Takahashi, creator of "Katamari Damacy" franchise. As what Megan Ellison said, "We want to empower artists across this medium to make Annapurna Interactive their home, and I believe we've assembled the perfect team to make that happen." There will be no question if this new division of Annapurna Pictures will go beyond their expectation of success since they will have a team of veterans whose credits include "Fat Princess","Flower","Mortal Combat", "God Of War", and "Journey." The new division will be located in Annapurna's campus in West Hollywood.

Annapurna Pictures was the behind the success of the movies such as "Her", "Zero Dark Thirty", "The Master", and "Sausage Party."
