NFL Latest News & Update: Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliot Continue To Defy Law Of Averages For Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys continue their magical ride, racking up win no. 11 which is the sixth longest winning streak in the NFL this season. Their last win was over the Minnesota Vikings but many noticed how the boys of Josh Garrett had a hard time against their opponent’s vaunted defense.

No matter how ugly that may have been to some, the fact is the Cowboys continue to roll. But that match begged to ask what Garrett had in the event his two young offensive stalwarts get checked. The answer came on the other side – defense.

With the Vikings defense proving good as advertised, the Cowboys had to dig deep and find some way to make up for their sputtering offense anchored on Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliot. The answer came from the defensive end, Dallascowboys.com reported.

One game may not speak much but the fact remains that Prescott or Elliott may soon be put to the test. The law of averages are bound to catch up at some point and loss or two could be happening soon.

It brings up the experience factor which is perhaps what team owner Jerry Jones is concerned about. Such is one reason why he has not given up on Tony Romo and has placed him on standby. A switch could happen somewhere down the line which most are overlooking, USA Today reported.

As for Ezekiel Elliott, he has been one of the finest young running backs in the NFL today. Connecting with Prescott has been apparent, cementing the one-two punch that Cowboys have moving into the future.

Experience and game situations involving Prescott and Elliott have yet to take shape up and most believe that will happen near the end of the regular NFL seasons. Stakes even get higher once the playoffs come, a situation where everything changes for Prescott, Elliott and the rest of the Cowboys against seasoned teams. Are the Cowboys ready for reality to sink in?
