2016 Tech Deals: Should You Buy The Apple iPhone 7 Now?

The Apple iPhone is undeniably one of the most popular, if not the most popular brands of smartphones right now. Its popularity is highly indicated by the mixed reaction it is getting from the public. Some people love it very much while others are pretty vocal in being haters of the brand. If you're one of the people who held back on buying the latest iPhone model, you might be asking yourself if you should get it now. To help you decide, here are some key points.

Apple iPhone 7 Actually Cheaper Than Some Flagship Phones

If you really like the iPhone as your smartphone of choice, you can actually go for the iPhone 7 without feeling guilty for its price. Know that the iPhone 7 is being sold for $649 while the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge has a price of $769. The LG V20 is also pretty expensive. It is being listed by Sprint with a $792 price tag for its full price. With that said, getting the iPhone 7 isn't exactly as much of a splurge as other flagship phones, at least money-wise.

Apple iPhone 7 Doesn't Have All The Premium Features

Needless to say, the lesser price that the iPhone 7 has is clearly compensated by its lack of some premium features. First of all, it doesn't have the same display size as its higher model (iPhone 7 Plus). It also has a lower display resolution. Also, it doesn't have the dual-cam system that the 7 Plus has been proud of. The iPhone 7 is also a tad inferior to the iPhone 7 Plus when it comes to RAM and battery sizes. Clearly, it is a matter of deciding whether you need these premium extras or not.

Apple iPhone 7 Conclusions

The big catch about the iPhone 7 is that it is not as expensive as the iPhone 7 Plus. If you're not exactly sensitive when it comes to camera specs, the iPhone 7 is a good deal at $649. Besides, it is still powered by the same processor and it's pretty much as fast-moving as the 7 Plus. It is just as water resistant as well (IP67 certified). On top of it all, buying the more affordable iPhone 2016 model means you'll have smaller regrets when the iPhone 2017 comes in. In fact, you'll have an easier time deciding to upgrade to the iPhone 8 if you did not spend so much on your iPhone this year.
