'Super Mario Run' Release Date, News & Update: Game Possible For Different Gaming Platforms

The 90's famous game character Mario is back. The new Mario game titled "Super Mario Run" is set to launch for iOS devices on December 15, 2016. The game announced only for iOS compatible, but gamers know that, one of these days, it will also arrive in other platforms.

The "Super Mario Run" will eventually make its way to Android since it will release for iOS. But could it also be played in other platforms like Xbox, PS4, Nintendo Switch and even on Windows?

Nintendo originally unveiled the "Super Mario Run" at Apple event on last September 7, 2016. After that, the company immediately added that they were also planning a release on Android.

In a report of Mic, it says the mobile game would expand beyond iOS at some point in the future. It could be soon in early 2017, but it is also possible that Android may have to wait a little longer.

Moving beyond mobile devices, "Super Mario Run" game could also be launched on Nintendo Switch, the upcoming portable console. The company filed a patent suggesting that could be its strategy, though it is an obvious sign of things to come.

The said patent was submitted in Japan on a gaming forum NeoGAF, it mentions the name "Super Mario Run." Also indicates that the game may work on a home video game machine that might mean the Nintendo Switch.

According to Video Games Republic, the "Super Mario Run" for Xbox One might just happen. "I love to see Mario on Xbox," Xbox head Phil Spencer says. Microsoft is undeniably interested, but it seems unlikely to Nintendo. Why would the latter bring its game to the one of its Switch console biggest rival?

Nintendo does not hint about "Super Mario Run" to Windows. However, some tricks spread through the internet how this game can be play in PC. The latest game is set to release this December 15, 2016 for $9.99 USD.
