It is more than two months to Feb. 13, 2017, the premiere of “Fifty Shades Darker,” but beginning Thursday, Dec. 8, tickets to the erotic movie are now on sale. It beats the one month record of “Fifty Shades of Grey” which started to sell on Jan. 11, 2015 for its Feb. 13, 2015 playdate.

Universal announced the early ticket sales and released the second official trailer for “Fifty Shades Darker” on Thursday. In a few hours, the second trailer has been viewed almost 900,000 times, indicating the strong public interest in the erotic movie.

Second Chance

“Fifty Shades Darker” still stars Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey and Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele. Christian Grey would attempt to invite Anastasia Steele, now cautious, into his life. She gives him a second chance but demands a new arrangement, Movieweb reports.

While the couple rebuilds trust and finds stability in their new life, Christian Grey’s past, particularly shadowy figures, circles the pair in their attempt to destroy the hope of the couple for a happy future together in “Fifty Shades Darker.”

Shadowy Figures

The shadowy figures include the creepy new boss of Anastasia Steele and Leila, an ex-girlfriend of Christian Grey. Time describes the second trailer of “Fifty Shades Darker” as leaving nothing much to the imagination.

Directed by James Foley, “Fifty Shades Darker” brings back Marcia Gay Harden, Luke Grimes, Victor Rasuk, Max Martini, Rita Ora, Jennifer Ehle and Eloise Mumford. New faces in the movie are Eric Johnson, Kim Basinger, Bella Heathcote and Hugh Dancy.

Niall Leonard, who wrote the screenplay for “Fifty Shades Darker,” will also write the screenplay for “Fifty Shades Freed,” the final installment of the Fifty Shades trilogy slated to be shown on Feb. 9, 2018. James Foley would also direct the third installment.
