'State Of Decay 2' News & Update: A Bigger And Better Sequel In 2017

The developers of "State of Decay 2" have heard every fan's prayers. They are giving players another reason to be merry this holiday season as they promised to deliver a bigger and better sequel.

Jeff Strain, the CEO of Undead Labs, along with Richard Foge, the design director, teased some details for the concept of "State of Decay 2." The latter confirmed that the sequel is set to take place in a bigger location, which means a larger world for the players to explore.

However, he added, although they are aware that millions of fans are clamoring for more details on the map, they are not ready yet to unveil more about "State of Decay 2", IGN reports. He also did not reveal the number and size of the playable area.

Strain added that they heard what players have been wanting to see in the coming "State of Decay 2" and they "intend to deliver on all of those." Furthermore, Foge confirmed the rumors that "State of Decay 2" would be more interactive than its prequel.

Forge continued that in "State of Decay 2", players can mess up each other's community as well. On top of that, players will be allowed to split up and convene again - although sometimes, it may not be a good idea to do so.

Moreover, Forge also shared that players cannot totally tear all the facilities down. And they cannot directly turn "State of Decay 2" into a player versus player game.

But, then again, he said, "there are other ways that they [players] can be a hostile force..." He tipped that in "State of Decay 2", they can attract zombies to kill a player's character.

Fans will have to wait a little longer for "State of Decay 2", though. The game is set to be released some time next year.
