‘The Leftovers' Season 3 Premiere Date, Spoilers: Final Season Returns in April

HBO has confirmed the release of another season of "The Leftovers." "The Leftovers" Season 3 will debut in April 2017.

Series creators Damon Lindelof and Tom Perrotta took to social media to announce the return of the series. The showrunners shared a short message, which they posted on the show's official Twitter page. Perrotta, the author of the book, which the series is based on, wrote April 2017 on a piece of paper.

However, there is no exact release date yet for "The Leftovers" Season 3. Regardless, fans are rest assured knowing that Season 2 is not the end of the series. These fans have been waiting since December 2015 to find out if the show would ever return to HBO.

Sadly, "The Leftovers" Season 3 will be the final run of the series. It will be the last run of the show, according to LRM Online. So what can fans expect to see when "The Leftovers" Season 3, premiers on HBO in April 2017? Aside from the return of Kevin Garvey (Justin Theroux) and Meg (Liv Tyler), among many, Patti Levin will also appear.

Damon Lindelof teased in a previous interview that "The Leftovers" Season 3 will have flashbacks of the former Guilty Remnant leader. This would not be the first time Patti returns to the show following her death in the Season 1 Finale.

Patti appeared in "The Leftovers" Season 2, "International Assassin." In this episode, Kevin travelled to the afterlife and met Patti's ghost. The penultimate episode in Season 1 also showed a flashback to her life as Laurie Garvey's troubled patient. Patti can return in several ways in "The Leftovers" Season 3, although flashback scenes are the most common.

"It would be cruel to ask Ann to appear here today and then be like, 'You're never in the show again,'" Lindelof said as quoted by Bustle.
