Judge Denied Brad Pitt's Request To Seal The Custody Arrangements

Judge Denied Brad Pitt's Request To Seal The Custody Arrangements

Angelina Jolie filed for divorce on Sept. 19, 2016. The couple had been together for 12 years, though only married for two, and shared six children. Sources said that the real issue behind their divorce was Pitt's bad parenting as he has anger issues. Brad Pitt requested the judge to seal the details of the custody and wanted the documents to be private but the judge refused his request completely.

A source said "Angelina has consistently made public statements and public filings throughout this process. He has not." Another source said "Of course Angelina does want to keep things private. That's why details of what really happened on the plane have not been made public." Well why does Brad Pitt want to shield himself from making the details public?  Los Angeles Superior Court Richard J. Burdge Jr. denied Pitt's request in a brief written order that states the filing did not meet all the requirements for sealing details at this time.

Burdge declined to hear the petition on an expedited basis as Pitt had sought to seal details of his custody dispute with Jolie Pitt at an emergency hearing. Brad Pitt wrote "I am extremely concerned that if court records regarding custody are not sealed, information contained therein will cause irreparable damage to our children's privacy rights," on a sworn declaration that was filed on Wednesday. Angelina Jolie's attorney wrote "His ... request is a thinly veiled attempt to shield himself, rather than the minor children, from public view."

Another source said "The agreement that is being referred to here was reached during investigations that have since cleared him," this source continues. "Brad simply wants all further discussions about such matters to remain private, and is understandably hopeful that any parent would want that." Since the divorce has been filed the children are staying with Angelina. She is also thinking of buying a new home in LA.
