Natalie Portman Embodies The Fierce First Lady In "Jackie"

The movie "Jackie" has been released in theatres now. The role of the Jackie is played by Natalie Portman. Jackie is based on the life of former President of The United State John F Kennedy's wife Jackie Kennedy. The movie covers the time of Jackie's life's worst phase when President Kennedy was assassinated. She was shattered after his death and she had two little children too.

Natalie Portman plays the fascinating role so intensely that her performance can be termed as superb.She created a  a complex, fascinating portrait of the First Lady in the movie and displayed her feelings, grief and a blend of all other emotions very nicely. The movie is directed by Pablo Larrain. It is made from the Noah Oppenheim's script. President John F. Kennedy was assassinated on Nov. 22 1963. One of the scene shows Jackie covered in blood stains that were scattered on her dress and her hands as well. This was shown after the president's death.

The emotions that could have emerged in the woman's mind while being covered in her husband's blood stains can be so unimaginable. In this scene the dress which she wears is her famous pink dress. Rotten Tomatoes gave "Jackie" a rating of 86% where as Imdb rated it with a grade of 7.6/10. Metacritics rated it 79%. The movie focuses on how Jackie realised after her husband's death that now within a week she would have to leave the home she were living in, console her little children and confront the reality that is too difficult. John F. Kennedy's role was played by Caspar Phillipson.

 "Jackie" is not the type of movie for the adventure seeking audience. It is a very different one. Natalie Portman has done multiple successful movies in her past such as "Black Swan" for which she won her first Academy Award for Best Actress. Let us see how much success Jackie will bring for her.
