Wesley Matthews recorded 26 points on 8-for-11 shooting while Harrison Barnes added 25 points to lead the Dallas Mavericks to a 111-103 win over the Indiana Pacers at American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Texas.

 Key Point of the Match:

Matthews recorded his 16 points during the Mavericks 32-11 spurt that put them on the driving seat in the third quarter. Dallas shot a staggering 58 percent in the third and then knocked down six of 12 treys to blow by the Pacers at that point.

Players of the Match:

Matthews' 26 point game was direly needed by the Mavericks, who are missing the service of Dirk Nowitzki for quite some time now. Barnes continues his improvement as the main scorer of the team, upping his average to a career-high 20.6 points per game. Paul George, on the other hand, led the Pacers with 22 points and CJ Miles added 18 off the bench.

Aftermath:

The Mavericks finally garnered their fifth win of the season after back-to-back losses to the Charlotte Hornets and the Sacramento Kings. On Saturday, they will be taking on division rival Houston Rockets at Toyota Center. The Pacers, meanwhile, dropped one game below .500 with an 11-12 slate. Indiana are 3-8 on the road this season. They will play the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday.
