NVIDIA Latest News & Update: NVIDIA Giving Away GTX 1080, Oculus Rift Headset & More; How To Avail?

Oculus Touch, the latest two-handed motion controllers technologically developed for the Oculus Rift VR headset, are available this week. To celebrate the release of Touch, Nvidia is giving away a list of sweet prizes VR fans and PC gamers would not want to miss out.

From now until this coming Friday, gamers can get the chance to win a brand new, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 GPU, a custom gaming PC, and several free Oculus Touch supported Oculus Rift VR games. The new Touch-empowered virtual reality titles include Nvidia "VR Sports Challenge," "VR Funhouse," "Arizona Sunshine," "SuperHot VR," "Ripcoil" and "The Unspoken."

In order to participate, players only need to just comment on Nvidia GeForce's Facebook or Twitter channels before Friday. You must include the hashtag #VRReady while also tagging @NVIDIAGeForce and @Oculus in your comment.

Aside from those interesting prizes, Nvidia is also giving away 10 Oculus Rift bundles. This includes the Oculus Rift VR headset, Oculus Touch controllers, and a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070. For those who wish to win, all you need to do is download and login to the new GeForce Experience by December 30. Please take note, however, that if you are planning on playing anything on Oculus Rift, make sure you have the latest Game Ready 367.19 WHQL drivers installed on your gear, reminded PCGames.

Oculus Touch is equipped with precise tracing and ergonomic handle design work to bring hand poses and social gestures into VR for a more real experience, described Oculus. The slanting rather than perpendicular grip lets the user's thumb and index finger move independently.

This helps avoid accidental triggers and puts the user in total control. With the Touch' balanced weight distribution user feels natural in its hand, fostering enjoyment in the virtual world. Moreover, hand presence creates new opportunities to interact with others while experiencing VR.
