'Supergirl' Season 2 Air Date, Spoilers, News & Updates: Kara Discovers Mon-El Lies? Could This Be The End Of A Blossoming Love Story?

What's next after the big season finale? --This is what every follower of "Supergirl" Season 2 is much excited about. With the blossoming relationship of Kara and her new alien friend Mon-El, "Supergirl" Season 2 will surely come back with sweet treats for its fans after the holidays.

"Supergirl" Season 2 went on hiatus leaving fans thrilled when the alien from Daxam finally made his move. When the virus released by Project Cadmus almost killed the man from Daxam, Kara (Melissa Benoist) saved him from certain death. She broke the protocol, which could have resulted to her getting infected by the virus. The tension between the two kept on building up until that fateful scene, where a still weak Mon-El (Chris Wood) suddenly kissed Kara. As soon as Mon-El woke up from his deep slumber, he saw Kara sitting beside his bed. At the end, he kissed her but could not remember doing so afterward.

Fans are speculating that Mon-El was only pretending he could not recall kissing Kara, although it was clear that the man from Daxam has feelings for her. It is said that the two are playing coy about what happened, so how and when that comes out in the upcoming episodes of "Supergirl" Season 2 is going to be exhilarating.

"Supergirl" Executive Producer Andrew Kreisberg shared that actor Chris Wood who portrays Mon-El's role and "Supergirl" actress Melissa Benoist have noticeable chemistry on screen. For this reason, the executive producer and his team reportedly enjoys writing both characters together. This could mean that there is more of Kara/Mon-El love story in the next episodes of "Supergirl" Season 2.

However, the blossoming love story in "Supergirl" Season 2 was cut short by the arrival of an alien ship. It is believed that the alien race is tracking down Mon-El. It could be that the story Mon-El told Kara about escaping Daxam is a lie after all. Perhaps he wasn't as heroic when Daxam was being destroyed as he claimed to be.

Mon-El's past starts to uncover in the next episode of "Supergirl" Season 2. His lies could be exposed soon in the upcoming episodes. Catch the rousing episode of "Supergirl" Season 2 as it returns on The CW on January 16, 2017.
