'The Sims 4: City Living' Latest News & Update: Behind The Scenes On The Development Of The Talking Toilet

Any game in The Sims franchise would never fail to deliver absolute entertainment that would sometimes involve some weird elements. Quite often, these wild decisions would lead its developers to think of ideas they never thought their wild imaginations could have ever produced and in "The Sims 4: City Living," this involved the exciting addition of the talking toilet.

It would be exciting to think that there are so much things that a player can do in the big city as "Sims 4: City Living" offers a lot of exciting things which include different cultures, clothing and a lot more. Sims also get to enjoy food from many different cultures as well as participate in festivals that pay tribute to many different geographical representations.

In EA's official website, the developers reveal that they had been trying to look for many items and activities that could be associated with many different cultures all over the world in "The Sims 4: City Living." One of these cultural references was Japan since it has an amazing culture worth focusing on.

Japan has such an inspirational heritage in which the developers of "The Sims 4: City Living" drew a lot of ideas from. The difficulty now lies in the fact that what is fascinating for them in real life might not translate to something as complex in the game.

There are very futuristic everyday household items in Japan and one of the most fascinating ones include toilets that could do everything from washing to blowdrying with temperature control that can be operated from a smartphone. With this, "The Sims 4: City Living" developers thought it would be fun if they added something like this to the game themselves and that is how the Talking Toilet came to be.

In the forums, one can see the reactions of players to this wonderful addition and generally, there are more positive reactions that negative. Although most found this addition quite weird as expected, almost everyone found the talking toilet a colourful addition to "The Sims 4: City Living."

This talking robot toilet would allow Sims in "The Sims 4: City Living" not just to wash them after cleansing themselves, but they can actually build a relationship with it. Not only is this strange and funny, but this feature also adds an in-game benefit for Sims who do not have time to call fiends or socialize to get their social meters up in their own washrooms.
