An Awesome New Fighting Game Will Come to Super Nintendo Next Year

This headline is something that no one really expected to see today: A whole new fighting game is set to be released in 2017 for the Super Nintendo. "Unholy Night" is an awesome new fighting game that's in development from a former SNK, and this game might actually end up as a game for SNES.Only a handful of people knows about the details of "Unholy Night". In fact, it only garnered much attention when it was shown off during the Hong Kong Retro Game Expo held on December 12th.

"Unholy Night" is a great game for people who would like to unwind a little and just play a good old-school fighting game. Everything about the game is like a retrospective look back at how SNES games look like back in the old days. It even works well on an old CRT TV that had a built-in Super Famicon. According to Destructoid, the game was developed by the same team of developers who used to work at SNK. In fact, they are the ones who are behind the King of Fighters 98, 2001, and 2002, WWG reported. Several previous SNK employees decided to apply everything that they've learned from King of Fighters and Art of Fighting to create a whole new SNES fighting game. "Unholy Night" will fit on a 32MB cartridge which is quite huge if compared to all the classic 6MB SNES games.

You can know more about "Unholy Night" on the game's official website. The game revolves around werewolves, vampires and a group of elite hunters known as the Dark Family. So far, six characters have already been released and that's probably the only game that'll be released in the game. The game will only be available in Asia but would be a great addition to retro console collectors, CGM reported.

"Unholy Night" is scheduled to be released in February 2017. There aren't any formal statements about the price yet.
