With 2016 nearly ending, all smartphone enthusiasts can think about is what handheld device will reign supreme next year, will it be Apple's iPhone 8 or the Samsung Galaxy S8? There are multiple reports and speculations surrounding both devices as of now and without further hesitation, let's look at some of the reports we know so far.

iPhone 8 & Samsung Galaxy S8 features & specs

According to reports, Apple will sport an OLED display screen for the iPhone 8, instead of the standard LCD display. A curved edge screen is also expected to be featured in the upcoming iPhone 8 to accommodate the OLED display screen, since the nature of the OLED display responds better with a curved edge device.

The iPhone 8 is also rumored to sport a full glass display, giving the Apple product an edge-to-edge display screen. The Cupertino-based company also reportedly decided to ditch the home button and placed a fingerprint scanner at the back of the device.

A personal voice assistance will be featured in the Samsung Galaxy S8 in its release next year and the said feature also marks as a first for Samsung to be working on. Samsung will feature an advanced AI for the Samsung Galaxy S8 that comes with two personalities, including a male AI assistance named Bixby and a female AI named Kestra.

Samsung Galaxy S8 is rumored to have a 6GB of RAM along with a 256GB of internal storage. With that said, Samsung could even throw in a higher Samsung Galaxy S8 model or two models for the Samsung flagship, ranging from 4GB/6GB of RAM with 64GB/128GB of internal storage.
