Suicide Squad 2 News And Updates: 2 New Movies Planned, Possible Justice League Vs Suicide Squad Movie

Warner Bros. is going all in with their DC movie universe and Suicide Squad is the latest series to benefit. According to a report, the Suicide Squad series is about to get 3 additional movies to supplement the franchise.

The first movie will be an all female led film called Gotham City Sirens which will star Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn. The movie will feature a team up of female villains from Gotham city forming their own version of Suicide Squad. Although no characters were teased, expect a new version of Catwoman to be featured as she is arguably the most popular female villain of Gotham city along with Batman, the protector of the city. David Ayer director of the first Suicide Squad will direct the spin off along with Geneva Robertson-Dworet, who will write the screenplay.

Next up is a spin off movie starring Will Smith's Deadshot. Deadshot was prominently featured in the first Suicide Squad movie. Deadshot is a well established character and with an A-star celebrity like Will Smith playing the role, the movie has a big chance for success. Batman could also make an appearance in the movie as Suicide Squad has shown that a feud exists between Deadshot and Batman. Ben Affleck and Will Smith in one movie is a sure fire hit.

Lastly, Suicide Squad will also get its own sequel with Will Smith and Margot Robbie again starring the movie. Despite the negative reviews for Suicide Squad, the film still made a lot of money prompting Warner Bros. to produce a sequel. Will Smith and Margot Robbie were both praised for their roles regardless of the negativity. It's no surprise that both of them get to star in their own movies.

With this, Warner Bros is officially in full swing with their DC movie universe. Upcoming movies include Justice League, Aquaman, Flash, Wonder Woman and Ben Affleck's Batman Movie.

With both the heroes and villains getting their own share of the limelight, its inevitable for the two to collide, probably in a Suicide Squad vs Justice League movie. And with Warner Bros seemingly tendendy of mashing superheroes against each other without any sense of cohesiveness, it wont be surprising if a Justice League vs Suicide Squad movie happens. Just don't expect it to be as good as the Marvel movies otherwise you'd be left disappointed.
