'Dragon Quest Builders' Latest News & Update: Swept the Recognitions At The PlayStation Awards, Demands For Its Sequel Acknowledged By Producer

It looks like "Dragon Quest Builders" will be finishing the year with a bang. The game swept all recognitions including the coveted User's Choice award and even the Gold Prize award at the recently concluded PlayStation Awards held in Japan.

Getting a Gold Prize award is something that all game developers look forward to as this is normally based on the combine sales and reviews of the game. But the User's Choice award is something that most developers would even dream of getting because the results are based on the gamers opinion on what game they like.

Although the "Dragon Quest Builders" is not as popular as the other games released despite its great reviews, it certainly did get the players' interest to get a sequel. Square Enix has yet to release any official announcement for a "Dragon Quest Builders" sequel, but it looks like the top members of the development team are well aware that several fans are wishing to see a sequel in the near future, Forbes reported.

According to iDigital Times, both the producer and the director of "Dragon Quest Builders", Noriyoshi Fujimoto and Kazuya Niinou, were at the event to accept the award. Fujimoto was really pleased to have heard a lot of feedback from the fans, and they heard a lot of requests for a sequel to be made. He also mentioned that he wants to live up to the fans' expectations as part of the Dragon Quest series.

Meanwhile, Niinou said that he can't really verify a lot of things unless Fujimoto-san says it, but the things that they would have to return the favor by creating an equally good game. He also wanted to say that he wants to work hard for the time being to live up to the expectations of the "Dragon Quest Builders" fans.
