Speculated Nokia Flagship Android Phones Leaked: Design, Hardware, And More

Nokia aims to reclaim its throne as the most recognizable brand among phones. Their most recent venture involving Microsoft's Windows Phone operating system obviously did not yield great results. Sources have confirmed that Nokia has embraced the Android ecosystem and will launch its first Nokia Android phones early 2017. This has been reportedly confirmed by alleged leaks detailing the two flagship phones coming next year.

In an article from GSMArena, HMD will officially handle future Nokia Android mobile phones. The first leaked smartphone is labeled as the Nokia C1. It will reportedly run on a Snapdragon 835 chipset with a 4GB RAM. The design seems to borrow a bit from its Lumia form factor, but appears more premium than the polymer body of its former models.

The Nokia C1 rear cover features a circular cutout, which holds its dual-cameras. One of the sensors is a 16MP unit and the other is a 12MP shooter. A small triple-LED strip handles its illumination requirements, while a strangely entry-level 5MP camera appears in front as its selfie-shooter. It is rumored to come in three storage options, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB, while no word of a storage expansion has been announced. It supposedly draws power from a 3,210mAh lithium-ion battery.

The next Nokia mobile phone bears a curvier design akin to an iPhone. Rumors claim that Google participated in its inception. The back cover features antenna lines on the top and bottom portions, while a Nokia logo, primary camera and LED flash sit aligned towards the middle. Its reported to rely on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 CPU with a 6GB RAM and speculated to hold a 23MP camera bearing ZEISS lens according to PhoneArena. This handset could be the rumored Nokia P smartphone, but sources have not yet authenticated its model number or name.

Fans of the Nokia brand will surely look forward to the upcoming MWC 2017, as this is the perfect avenue for major brands to unveil their flagship handsets. Perhaps we witness its official announcement sooner if the company wants to engage many of its consumers ahead of time.
