Crytek Latest News & Update: Crytek Makes Up Just In Time For The Holidays, Starts Paying Pending Salaries, Report Says

This might be the best news Crytek employees could ever have this year, at least when it comes to their salaries, and should we trust sources. According to the latest update, the makers of "Far Cry" and "Crysis" are slowly paying their employees' pending paychecks, following the outrage in various social media the past few months.

Crytek In "Crysis"

Previously on GamenGuide, it was reported that Crytek employees have sorted their frustrations on the internet, saying that some of them have not been paid in more than a month. Furthermore, the German game-maker allegedly had delays in payroll in the last six months. Others, according to the report, haven't been paid in two months full.

Crytek employees have taken to Glassdoor and Reddit to belt out their concerns, adding that the company has t offered neither explanations nor apologies. The thread also details how Crytek employees have to work without pay, and that the problem is experienced not just in its Germany office, but in other headquarters as well.

Crytek Makes Up, Dispenses Funds

In a new Kotaku report, Crytek has apparently paid their Frankfurt staff for the month of October, with the promise that November paychecks will be dispensed this week. If the report is true, it shed lights on the recent closure of a Gofundme campaign started by an ex-Crytek employee. The campaign urges for assistance in taking legal action against the company, reports PlayStation Lifestyle.

We could only hope the best for Crytek, as the company has been through the same predicament before back in 2014. As of now, the developers of "Warface" and "Ryse: Son of Rome" are hard at work on their VR initiative and other news of the company's ventures hasn't made it to the internet just yet. If the company has indeed started paying pending salaries, this might indicate progress going forward.
