Mobile Game Deus Ex The Fall PC Port Announced, Coming to Steam on March 25

Deus Ex: The Fall Coming to Steam on March 25

Square Enix's Deus Ex: The Fall, previously exclusive to iOS and Android devices, has been announced for a PC release through Steam. The publisher has revealed that the prequel action-RPG to 2011's amazing Deus Ex: Human Revolution, will release on March 25 for £7.99/€9.99/$9.99.

The PC port includes changes to the game's economy, AI, and controls. Originally developed with in-game purchase options, the PC release will do away with that and instead be rebalanced so that it functions and plays without a focus on additional app purchases. As expected, The Fall on PC will also feature full mouse and keyboard support, as well as support for the Xbox Controller.

New graphical and gameplay improvements can expected, as well. Deus Ex: The Fall on PC will now feature adjusted AI, a revamped tutorial, the removal of auto-target options, a reduction to the reticle size, and the means to change the cover style (toggle or hold, making the mechanic function a little more like it does in Human Revolution). Resolution and anti-aliasing options will be includes as well as Steam achievements and cards.

Square Enix has also announced that preorders for The Fall will net Steam users a free copy of Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition. The publisher then ends their announcement by saying that while we wait for the next “triple-A” entry in the Deus Ex series, we should check out The Fall. Thanks for reminding that exists, guys. I can't wait!

Square Enix Files Trademark for Shinra Company, But Final Fantasy 7 Remake Doesn't Seem Like a Possibility

Produced by the original team behind Human Revolution, Deus Ex: The Fall is a prequel story that follows not Adam Jensen, protagonist of Human Revolution, but instead a different character by the name of Ben Saxon. The events of The Fall come from that of the Deus Ex novel “The Icarus Effect”.

I've been meaning to replay Human Revolution on my PC, so the release of The Fall may convince me to do so earlier than intended. If you haven't played Human Revolution, what are you waiting for?!
