Samsung Galaxy S8 Release Date, News & Update: Dual Pixel Tech & Dual Speakers Hinted Apart from Other High-End Specs

Samsung Galaxy S8 is reportedly a few months away from getting released. As the day inches closer, more and more rumors are making rounds about its specs and features. The Galaxy S8 is arguably one of the most-anticipated phones of 2017. As Samsung launches new products in February, the Galaxy S8 could be released during that time.

However, certain tech enthusiasts believe that Samsung will delay the launch of the Galaxy S8 handset as it wants to first make sure that the device is free of any battery problem. The Galaxy Note 7 disaster has put tremendous pressure on the mobile maker. As far as the price of the Galaxy S8 handset is concerned, no official statement has been released. However, many believe, it will cost in the region of £600 (US$750).

The main focus of Samsung is to make the screen the main feature of the handset. It will fill as much of the front as possible. Galaxy Note 7 customers may get discounts on Galaxy S8 in exchange of the ill-fated handset, reports The Sun. If rumors are to be believed, Samsung will release the Galaxy S8 with a 99 percent screen-to-body ratio.

The fingerprint scanner included in the handset will be able to perform scans even through one millimeter of the glass cover. As VR is quickly becoming a craze, Samsung may introduce a 4K screen in the handset. Viewing photos and movies on such a screen will be a treat. The Samsung Galaxy S8 camera may also sport dual pixel technology.

It will be interesting to see what processor Samsung uses in the Galaxy S8. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset is already three in Galaxy S7 and it is well capable of supporting 4K displays at 60fps. Dual speakers are also expected and so are upgrades to RAM and internal storage.
