Ultra Street Fighter 4 News: Elena's Capoeira Keeps Kickin' [VIDEO]

Ultra Street Fighter IV Gets New Foot-age of Elena

After offering a closer look at Hugo, we're moving on to the significantly better looking, but still long legged character - Capcom's capo combatant of capoeira (try saying that five times fast) Elena is next on the dole for Ultra Street Fighter IV.

Just like Hugo did, Elena made her debut in Street Fighter III. We got a brief sneak peek at her and the other "new" comers during the summer.

As you might expect, she retains the majority of her attacks and super combos she first appeared with, and the same goes for some of her baser moves and combos.

Elena still looks like she's all about kicks n' tricks - just like she had her Brave Dance combo in Street Fighter X Tekken, the Super Art returns as one of Elena's Ultra Combos this time around, alongside her remaining Street Fighter III Super Arts, Spinning Beat and Healing. This will make it easy for SFIII familiars to pick up Elena with relative ease, and her Healing could really help set her apart, as she'll be the only character in the game with the ability to regenerate her health.

Check out the new video of her in action below.

So that's Elena, and you can be damned sure there's new videos on the way for Rolento and Hugo's handler Poison.

In addition to the four faces we know of, there's also a fifth fighter, and Ultra will mark the character's first appearance in the series. Capcom Senior Product manager Matt Dahlgren told the Jace Hall Show: "This character [has] never been featured in a Street Fighter game up until now." Ultra Street Fighter 4 "will be the first time he (or she) makes their fighting game debut." That would rule out a great number of Capcom's other characters who've appeared in countless cross over games, like X-Men Vs Capcom, Marvel Vs Capcom, etc. The most recent rumor pegged it as a female character connected to the comic.

Ultra Street Fighter 4 will release in two forms, with the player picking whichever they like:

1. As a $15 DLC upgrade - choose this route if you already have a copy of Street Fighter 4. With the price breakdown, it means you get each new character at $3 each.
2. As an all-new physical release, on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Besides the new characters, players will also get six new stages, all of which featured in Street Fighter X Tekken: Cosmic Elevator, Mad Gear Hideout, Jurassic Era Research Facility, Blast Furnace, and Pitstop 109.

Capcom announced that players could expect the game this Spring.
