'Birthdays the Beginning' Release Date, News & Update: 'Harvest Moon' Creator Delays Upcoming Sandbox Game to May 2017

Here's something "Harvest Moon" fans should be aware of. The newest endeavor from creator Yasuhiro Wada titled "Birthdays the Beginning" is set to arrive in May 2017. Previously set for a launch date of March 7, the sandbox game "Birthdays the Beginning" has been delayed to May 2017 instead.

PC Gamer reports that the reason behind the delay is unclear, but the release dates on the official website have been updated. "Birthdays the Beginning" will indeed arrive in May 2017. The sandbox game is the latest endeavor of "Harvest Moon" creator Yasuhiri Wada, who promises to open up a new world of cube-sized proportions.

According to the description in "Birthdays the Beginning" Steam page, the game will enable players to engage in "careful experimentation" that will let them "shape the geography and alter the temperature of each world to create the conditions for life and witness the birth of an entire ecosystem."

Eurogamer reports that "Birthdays the Beginning" will be available for PlayStation 4 via retail disc and digital download. Those who are purchasing from Steam will receive a digital copy only. "Birthdays the Beginning" is the latest upcoming endeavor from "Harvest Moon" creator Yasuhiri Wada.

In "Birthdays the Beginning," gamers will take on the character of a child who explores a cube-shaped world, wherein they can create environments and manipulate time to watch the planet grow and evolve. The mission? To discover and produce 300 flora and fauna that can be created in this cubic world.

"Birthdays the Beginning" arrives in May 2017 from "Harvest Moon" creator, Yasuhiro Wada. "Harvest Moon" was originally released in 1996 and was re-released for the Nintendo Wii in 2007.
