Windows 10 Works On Game Mode Update; 3 Things You Need To Know Ahead Of Release

Windows 10 is slated to include a new Game Mode for an enhanced PC gaming experience. Apparently, running on the Windows 10 OS may make games run faster and with a smoother experience overall. On another note, Microsoft reportedly admits to a serious Windows 10 upgrade error.

Creators Update Leaked Before 2017 Launch

A leak was reportedly spotted online showing the upcoming Build 14997. Apparently, the Windows 10 Game Mode may shift PC resources to gameplay and allocating resources for the game. Hence, when a game is launched, the Game Mode may prioritize CPU, GPU and other resources towards smoother gameplay. Note that the Game mode spotted in Build 14997 may still be in the development stages, PC World reported.

In the meantime, it is yet to be revealed whether or not the Game Mode would be able to work with only Windows Store games or include other types of games. Apparently, Microsoft may have aimed to keep Windows 10 users from wandering off to look for other gaming OS. It should be noted that the Windows 10 Creators Update may be expected early in 2017. On another note, Microsoft is believed to be taking gradual steps to converge the Windows 10 with the Xbox systems for players to have the option to play on both PC and Xbox platforms.

Microsoft Admits to Stepping Over The Line with the Red X Error

In other news, Microsoft was once rumored to have employed dirty tricks with its Windows 10 upgrade tactics. Finally, Microsoft Chief Marketing Officer Chris Capossela surfaced on Windows Weekly podcast admitting that the developers had a difficult time balancing between being too aggressive and crossing the line. Apparently, the Red X Error that did not cancel when it had to cancel was also a lowlight for the team, Forbes reported.

The Windows 10 upgrade prompt apparently removes any way to say no after the Red X began to mean confirm rather than cancel. Previously, the Windows 10 OS was also secretly downloaded on all Windows 7 and Windows 10 PCs. Additionally, the company was also blamed for increasingly crippling the control of Windows 7 and Windows 8. Watch more Creators Update rumors here:
