'Super Mario Run' Arrives To Android In March; 'Loads Of Coins' Event Ends On Jan. 26

"Super Mario Run" is confirmed to come to Android following an exclusive iOS stint. However, the fans will have to wait for Mario to run his way across the Android screens until March.

"Super Mario Run" For Android Will Be Delayed Until March

The Android release of "Super Mario Run" has been announced to come in March, although reports suggest that Google Play is already accepting signups that will notify when the delivery begins. This, however, has created some speculations about the reason of the delay.

"Super Mario Run's" delayed release is believed to be due to some contractual thing, given that the game was developed on Unity - a game engine which is built with a considerably simple platform-to-platform porting. Although porting often brings a number of challenges, it does not mean that the game is being re-built from scratch. Meantime, reports claim that a March launch window of "Super Mario Run" could mean that the game was an iOS exclusive for about three months, TechCrunch reported.

"Super Mario Run" Will Begin Loads Of Coins Event This Week

"Super Mario Run" seems to follow the path of "Pokemon Go" as the limited-time event "Loads of Coins" has been introduced by Nintendo to the game. According to reports, the event, which happens from Jan. 16 to 26, will allow players to collect 1.5 times as much coins by competing in the Toad Rally mode.

Based on reports, "Super Mario Run" players will have to finish the Kingdom Builder tutorial prior to participating. They are also required to use the Rally tickets in order to enter into a Toad Rally, and will still be awarded the regular amount of coins when they lose a match, according to BGR.
