PlayStation Home PS4: PlayStation Home Adds Trophies, Still No News on PS4 Version

PlayStation Home Adds Trophies, No News on PS4 Version

It's March and the PlayStation 4 has been in stores for months. But don't think that means Sony is going to abandon their last generation console's most thrilling component, oh no, for they have just announced that PlayStation Home is set to be updated with Trophies – retroactive ones at that.

The free PlayStation 3 MMO app PlayStation Home will be updated worldwide on March 12, according to PlayStation Europe Community Manager Chris Owen.

Trophies will no doubt reward players for a variety of tasks that they can complete in the virtual world, whether that be playing a variety of mini games, visiting a new world, decorating their home, or witnessing one of the many sexually suggestive conversations between strangers because their Nathan Drake and Sonic apparel is too hot to stop.

Playstation Now Price Point: Possibly $5-$6 for PS3 Game Rentals

You know, PlayStation Home is actually a pretty cool idea even if it may be populated by a few odd folk that take it a bit too seriously. But I wonder if Sony has any plans to move it from the PS3 to the PS4; Chris Owen says there's no news on that front just yet. A Vita port with Near support would make sense, too.

Anyway, if you're an avid PlayStation Home users or just someone interested in seeming what Sony's little MMO project looks like after several years of activity, then log in on March 12 to download version 1.86 of Home. But don't be scared if some guy invites you back to his fake home, tells you to sit on his couch, and then dances in front of you. Don't be scared; I lived through it. So can you.
