'Titanfall 2' Gets Live Fire Mode & Two New Maps This February

The "Titanfall 2" developers are slated to add a new gameplay mode to the first-person shooter game called Live Fire. In addition, two new Live Fire Maps have also been confirmed for "Titanfall 2". Furthermore, a large patch to fix in-game bugs are also expected to roll out soon.

New Mode Is Heart-Pounding

The "Titanfall 2" game designer for the new mode, Griffin Dean has reportedly noted that the new Live Fire Mode would be heart-pounding and will give an adrenaline rush to players. Furthermore, the mode is said to be a fast-paced and round-based 6v6 pilot-only elimination mode. On that note, each round of the gameplay mode reportedly gives "Titanfall 2" players one whole minute to eliminate the opposing team or to acquire the neutral flag.

Dean reportedly advised "Titanfall 2" players to know when and how to pick up the flag since it is said to be a core aspect of the new mode's meta. Additionally, two new maps are also expected to be included in the free DLC. Dean also revealed that the Live Fire Maps may be put together around controlled sight-lines, flank routes and choke points. Dean noted that it may be best to have a game plan and know the location of the enemies while utilizing mobility and abilities to outplay the enemies, Polygon reported.

Next Large Patch Fixes Glitches And Adds New Weapon.

Meanwhile, Respawn is reportedly working on an upcoming large patch to fix the glitches in the game and further tweak "Titanfall 2" to its full potential. In addition, Respawn is reportedly planning to add a new weapon and Pilot execution. Moreover, the classic Colony map is also expected to be added in the patch.

"Titanfall 2" has further been praised by the gaming community for delivering one of the most unique shooter campaigns in a long time, Engadget reported. YouTuber Mark Brown reportedly praised the story modes on his channel Game Maker's Toolkit. Brown also noted that "Titanfall 2" may not actively force players into playing with given tools.
