"Battlefield 1" finally gets a new winter update. It appears that DICE wanted to give back to fans emphasizing its openness to suggestions and feedback. It can be remembered that when the first-person shooter video game was released on October 21 last year, it gained positive reviews from more critics.

It was also said that "Battlefield 1" is seen as an improvement as compared to its previous installments. Because of this EA DICE, the game's developer released the Winter Update. It was announced on the game's official website, Battlefield, yesterday.

The major updates are the return of ribbons, elite codices, max class ranks and rent-a-server feature. All new features and major updates look very promising and avid fans can now be happy for the season of hearts.

Ribbons

There will be a total of 20 different Combat Ribbons. Each time a player gets a ribbon, he will then receive a 300XP.

The Ribbons' purpose is to "promote good teamplay and playing objective." However DICE, is open for any suggestions saying that they are listening to player's feedback and comments.

Elite Codices & Mas x Class Ranks

Codices are now available to be unlocked for eight available primary weapons, PcGamer added. Players may just need a 500 more kills each weapon. The player will also be awarded 25,000 bonus XP.

For the Class Rank, from Rank 10, the game will now be up to 50. Not only that, but in every 10 new Class Ranks the player will receive a Battlepack. By hitting 50, a player will also be granted with a nice "Class flair in the kill card to taunt fallen foes."

Servers

The game will not also promote players welfare, as DICE welcomes its rent-a-server feature. This will allow RSP admins to kick players and ban those players who are caught to misbehave. What's even better is that players, after finishing the match, can vote for the next map.

Indeed DICE made a lot of improvements for "Battlefield 1". Full details for the patch are found on the game's official website, Battlefield.
