'Hearthstone' Update: Levels 5, 10, 15 Means No More Going Back Lower Ranks

The "Hearthstone" developers recently released a new patch that will make it easier for players to climb ranks. The patch also contain balance changes especially to the Pirates and the Shamans. Moreover, playing on the curve lately has been noted to have increased in difficulty.

Players On Rank 5 & Up Can No Longer Fall Below Ranks

Blizzard's forums revealed that "Hearthstone" players may now find floors for ranking. For instance, once a player reaches certain milestones such as ranks 5, 10 and 15, falling below those ranks is no longer going to happen during the season. This is expected to favor players who experience anxiety when climbing up ladders.

In addition, "Hearthstone" also reveals several balance changes to address the issues in the current meta, Small-Time Buccaneer and Spirit Claws. Note that a Warrior or Shamn may put a ½ and 1/1 on the board. Alternately, the Shaman may use a coin and N'Zoth's First Mate for equipping a weapon on turn one. The Shaman may have a 1/1/, 3/2, 1/1 and a weapon, Kotaku reported.

Furthermore, the Buccaneer may be dealt with at one health without extreme effort. In the meantime, the Shaman weapon Spirit Claws may gain two attacks only if the player has a minion that can increase Spell Power on the field to output a potential nine damage for one mana. Note that the bump up to two makes the Spirit Claws more effective than the other options.

Playing On the Curve In Arena Is Based On Luck

In other news, "Hearthstone" players have noted that in the current state of the game, playing on the curve may be more luck-based. Note that the cards drawn may not be controlled. While the same has been noted for standard, the issues related to the curvestone are said to be worse in the arena, eSports Edition reported.

"Hearthstone" reports have noted the HSReplay that charted three variances of lucky concerning the curvestone, that is going in first and having one drop by turn one or going first without a drop or going in second. Note that having a higher win rate when drawing a good curve is expected but it is said to be better to go in first with one drop. Watch more about the new patch here:
