Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster Launch Trailer Released- An Epic Tale Coming This Week for PS3 and Vita

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster Launch Trailer Released

Square Enix has been having great success repackaging their old games for new platforms, and they're here to do it again. Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster will combine two of their biggest hits into remastered versions for the PS3 and PS Vita, and we now have a launch trailer for the game to show off those new high-def graphics.

If you somehow missed it, Final Fantasy X was a massive hit for Square Enix, as gamers clamoring for a new installment in the series for their fancy new PS2s flocked to the game. The story of the famous blitzball player Tidus and his team's battle against Sin (a monster, not temptation), its new Sphere Grid system allowed for much greater customization of characters. It went on to sell 6.6 million copies worldwide.

Final Fantasy X-2 wasn't nearly as successful as the first game, being that it was the first direct sequel to a Final Fantasy title ever, but it was well received by critics and still sold a ton of copies- over four million worldwide in a mere nine months.

Now both remastered games are being sold on one blu-ray disc for PS3, with a retail release for the Vita including the first game on a card and a download code for the sequel. Downloadable versions will be available for both systems too, of course. Best of all, the games will include all of the content found in the International version, including "Last Mission", which adds a new location to Final Fantasy X-2

Check out the "An Epic Tale" trailer below. Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster will release in North America tomorrow and hit Europe and PAL territories on March 21.
