Microsoft Xbox Azure Vs. GTX 980 TI PC: ‘Crackdown 3’ Way Better With Azure, Processing Power Optimized; New Windows 10 V-Games Mode

Microsoft Xbox Azure Gaming PM Joseph Cusimano provided details about the ways cloud compute would work in the new "Crackdown 3". The announcement was made during the recent GDC 2017 in San Francisco.

Microsoft Showcased Physics Simulation For Comparison

A video was presented by Microsoft during the panel, comparing the physics that run on an azure cluster and physics that run on  a local machine. It is important to note that the local machine is not an Xbox One, but a high-end PC with a GTX 980 TI, which is a powerful processor with a massive memory.

Microsoft's presentation revealed the buildings with an overlay and different colors, as every color represents an individual physics server worked up on demand as the game plays. Reports also indicate that as destruction rises, the lone local machine could not keep up and the frame rate decreases, while Azure cluster distributes computations on several servers to cope with more processing power needed.

Moreover, Microsoft's physics simulation is done multiple frames in advance, and is able to cope with several possibilities. According to reports, the data is brought back to the game server, with streams that are configured for every game client to enable more physics capability of what has been noted in the past and create a certified massive destructible world, Dualshockers reported.

Microsoft Comes With New Windows 10 Mode For Better Video Games

Microsoft comes with a new setting "Game Mode" that features free Windows 10 Creators Update, which is set to arrive later in Spring 2017. According to reports, the new mode will take certain technology gathered from Microsoft's experience with the Xbox One game, applying it back to Windows 10.

Microsoft Xbox One, moreover, will also allow players to run apps such as Pandora or Twitch in the background, not to mention some completed work to ensure that this does not interfere with the gaming experience.  Now, the concept of making Windows 10 an even better place to play games steps in, Business Insider reported.
