'Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic' Revived?

There are many big names in gaming, spawning through various different genres, FPS, RPG, RTS, the Star Wars franchise has seen many of them, but rarely they reach the level of success which “Knights of the Old Republic” and its sequel generated back when they were first introduced to the world. Now, rumors and circling and hopes arise, will Star Wars fans get their second New Hope?

There are some good news on the horizon for fans of “Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic”. According to an article shared by Game Rant, there is a high chance, that a new KotOR game will appear on the market. According to their sources, this project is not as much a sequel to the game, as it is a completely new project placed within the same universe, but with a little touch of the new established Star Wars universe. Will the game manage to live up to the standards set by its predecessors, or will it flop much like “Mass Effect: Andromeda” did, only time can tell.

GameSpot has managed to wave away all the doubt which has arisen. They have shared a Twitter message by Drew Karpyshyn, who confirmed that he is working on a new project together with BioWare. To make the situation clearer, Karpyshyn was the lead writer for the original “Knights of the Old Republic” and has worked together with BioWare on a few other projects. The return of this writer, together with the stories about the revival of the franchise are enough to convince the anticipating fan base that there will be a new game in the series. In the coming months, it will become apparent if hopes were not spent in vain. Who knows, maybe BioWare have been preparing a big surprise, which will completely surpass all expectation and hype.
