Xbox One Indie Games: Watch this Trailer for Great-Looking Upcoming Indie Titles [VIDEO]

Microsoft Shows off Some Great Indie Games for Xbox One

Microsoft is pushing indie games on their new console with the Independent Developers for Xbox (ID@Xbox) program, and we've seen a lot of developers sign up to self-publish games on the system. They've now put out a trailer showcasing some of the great games from these studios, giving gamers a taste of the more unique titles headed to Xbox One.

The trailer goes through several of the upcoming titles, with developers speaking about their work alongside video footage of the games in action. Some of the games shown off include Super Time Force, Strike Suit Zero, and Spectra. They have a lot of potential and look different, plus it's interesting to listen to developers explain their game and their inspiration.

Strike Suit Zero is a dogfight simulator in space, where your jet can shift at any time to its less mobile strike suit form to deal more damage. You can whip around the open space environments during a battle and engage an enemy as you would in a flight sim, or transform into your suit mode and be more stationary whole releases dozens of projectiles.

Spectra is an F-Zero-inspired racing game in which the thin track is generated to match the 8-bit music (similar to Audiosurf), and you must avoid falling off with limited room and obstacles. Super Time Force is a retro run-and-gun shooter like Contra or Metal Slug with a time-travelling element. You place different instances of yourself through time that appear and mimic your actions when you're in that area with another character.

Watch the trailer for footage of these games and more, and hear what their developers have to say about them. See the full list of studios that signed up for ID@Xbox here.
