Sony has just revealed that they're kicking Playstation Plus off in April with free copies of Mercenary Kings for the PS4 and Batman: Arkham City for the PS3. These latest additions to the Instant Game Collection are certainly welcome, especially Mercenary Kings, the wonderful 2D shooter which is making its console debut tomorrow.
Much as with March's first-week dump of Tomb Raider and Dead Nation this does sadly mean that the free games the rest of the month will be nowhere near as exciting, but there are still some fantastic games on the way- just smaller titles. Vita gamers should be happy to get one of the best tower defense games ever made in Pixeljunk Monsters Ultimate HD, and they'll be able to join PS3 gamers in enjoying Stealth Inc. As usual, there are also a number of sales available for PS Plus subscribers. This week continues the Spring Fever sale with an offer of Obscure: The Aftermath for a mere $5.
