Type-Moon Games released the patch notes for Melty Blood: Type Lumina's Patch 1.10 Update for its PlayStation 4 Version (Patch 1.1.3 Update for Nintendo Switch/Patch 1.1.0.0 Update for Xbox One), revealing new characters that will be added in the fighting game's roster.

Along with them are a list of balance adjustments for all of the game's characters, including for their moves, as well as added features for its various game modes, and bug fixes.

Enter New Characters

As mentioned earlier, the Patch 1.10 Update will bring in two new characters that will be added in Melty Blood: Type Lumina's roster, Aozaki Aoko and Dead Apostle Noel.

According to Anime News Network, Aozaki, which is the protagonist of Mahoutsukai no Yoru, one of the visual novels created by Type-Moon, is the "Successor to the Fifth Magician" whose "destructive" power is unrivaled despite not being a skilled magician.

Known as the "Magic Gunner" for her ability to rain down bullets like hot geysers, she is also familiar in hand-to-hand combat thanks to her knowledge when it comes to martial arts, and she can combine it with magic to form a hybrid fighting style of her own.

Because of this, she can be a versatile yet tricky character that can use her techniques to set projectiles and long-ranged magical attacks, as well as her mobility, to add pressure to her opponents, while restricting their movements in the process, making them open to both long- and close-ranged combos.

Her Severe Break Slider Arc Drive will make her create a magic circle that could fire three shots of gigantic magical beams that is long enough to reach the edge of the screen.

This will allow those who are controlling her to incorporate it with combos from a variety of her other moves, massively increasing the damage dealt.

The said move will also give her "invincibility," which they can use as an effective counter when they are on the defensive.

Her Retrograde - Genesis Light Year Last Arc will make her restrain her opponents while firing a barrage of powerful magical shots. This can be activated by either consuming four full Magic Circuit gauges, or execute it while she is under a Bloody Heat status after successfully using her Shield.

On the other hand, Dead Apostle Noel, the second new character in the fighting game, is a certain executor and a dead apostle that hides her daytime self in the darkness in order to hunt her prey like a wolf in the night.

Those who will face her will not under estimate her lovely looks, as she can restraint them with projectiles and traps, while being attacked by her long reach and large number of spears. She also has a strategical battle style, which heavily involves on tactical retreats in order to keep her distance while attacking.

Her Pest Control Expert Paranodahlia Arc Drive will make her launch a huge number of spears towards her opponents, impaling and imprisoning them in the process.

The said rain of spears will give those who controlled her the opportunity to push on the offensive, even if they dodged the first attack, as well as "invincibility" if they want to add a defensive option once they are closing in to her.

Her Sleeping Rose Princess Rozay-en Last Arc lets her activate the "Mystic Eyes of Roses" after either consuming four full Magic Circuit gauges or entering the Blood Heat status after successfully using her Shield to trap her opponents in their own nightmares, sealing them in the process, while impaling them with a spear attack.

Both Aozaki Aoko and Dead Apostle Noel will become available for download for free once the Patch 1.10 Update rolls out.

Along with them are three new stages such as the "Summer Sky", the "Magician's Night EX", and the "Crimson Chapel."

Balance Adjustments for Characters

Aside from the two new characters, the Patch 1.10 Update will bring in balance adjustments to Melty Blood: Type Lumina's existing character roster.

According to AsumeTech.com, the said patch update fixed the loss of "Invincible" time after Tohno Shiki transitioning to the Flash Sheath - Eight Piercings Moon Skill, and its Special Attack version, but before launching any attack, and instead it was increased.

On the other hand, Arcueid Brunestud's Ready, go! Moon Skill was strengthened in order to give her more ways to attack from medium range, while her Shut up and disappear! Special Attack will have a faster startup, a slightly expanded hitbox, and an enabled landing recovery cancel on hit for easier damage extension from aerial combos.

For Tohno Akiha, the hitstop of her Brilliant Wheel Moon Skill, along with its Special Attack version, was adjusted in order to connect all of her hit types more easily and to compensate her short reach and low mobility.

Her Brilliant Cherry Maple EX Special Attack will have a faster startup and an enabled Vital Source recovery on hit, as well as it can no longer be dodged by jumping after use.

Hisui's Well-Deserved Rest, as well as Hisui & Kohaku's version of said Moon Skill, according to BRGeeks, will have an increased sustained time after setting a trap in order for those who are controlling her to use it as a defensive neutral tool.

Her Pardon me Moon Skill will be adjusted, making opponents who were hit by said move will knocked slightly higher in the air. This is to allow easier damage extension from anti-air hits.

Kishima Kouma's Triple Comet Moon Skill, as well as its Special Attack version, will have adjustments such as an additional Super Armor bonus and an increased movement in order to allow varied options to pressure opponents at medium range, while his Unicorn - Flame Waltz Arc Drive will be adjusted in order to use it easier in combos.

Micheal Roa Valdamjong's Thunderclap Moon Skill will have a faster start up and an improved difference in recovery when guarded, while its Special Attack version will have its recovery shortened. This is to give those who will controlling him increased options for mobility.

His Brilliant Demon Strike Moon Skill, as well as its Special Attack version, will have an enabled landing recovery cancel on hit for easier damage extension from aerial combos.

Vlov Arkhangel's Burya Tigr Moon Skill will have a shortened gap between first and second hits, as well as an expanded hitbox upward for the second hit, making more powerful and have better mobility.

His Homeward, Disease/Homeward Memory Special Attacks will have an expanded upward hitbox for continuous hit detection and an improved ease of use in combos.

Red Arcueid's Alte Schule aerial B will have a faster startup and a shortened gap between its first and second hits.

Finally, the Patch 1.10 Update will also fix several bugs in Melty Blood: Type Lumina, including ones within Saber, Ciel, Kohaku, and Noel.

It will also fix other in-battle bugs, which according to Update Crazy, include a bug that causes an unintended Moon Charge came easily when holding down buttons, and a bug that causes the downed time compensation following a strong combo and certain attacks to be increased unnaturally.
