In Icarus, players need to gather resources like metal ores, craft items such as materials, tools and equipment, build shelters, and hunt wild animals for food, fur, leather and bones in order for them to survive.
Aside from these things, they must also need to accomplish Prospect Missions in order to progress within the online multiplayer survival game. These missions would require them to travel different biomes in order to complete specific sets of tasks.
One of which is the "Snowblind: Scan" Prospect Mission, where they need to travel towards the Arctic biome in order to locate the areas where they need to set up the radar that they have collected from a Supply Crate.
Preparations
Much like the other Prospect Missions in Icarus, players need to prepare the items that they will be using for the "Snowblind: Scan" mission.
According to eip.gg, they must first craft the basic tools for hunting such as a bow with its arrows and a knife, as both of them can be also usable in defending themselves against attacks from wild animals.
Aside from these tools, they will also need to craft an axe and a pickaxe, both which they can use to gather more resourced while travelling.
If they unlocked higher Tiers in the game's tech tree, they can now craft better versions of the said tools using materials such as metal.
They will also need to produce parts for their temporary shelter, as well as bedrolls that will act as their spawn point if they set them up in the said shelter. They will also need to make cloth armor, or its better version, for added protection, as well as waterskins to store their water.
After preparing everything, they will need to hop in to their drop ship, and accept the mission. Once they accepted said mission, they will be dropped to an area in the Forest biome, which is within the point F5.
Clearing the Prospect Mission
Once they landed on the said drop-off point, according to Gaming Tornedo's YouTube video, they will need to travel towards an area within the point I11.
While they are travelling, they will need to hunt down the wolves that are in the area in order to collect its Meat, Fur, Leather, and Bones, while gathering for Wood and Sticks by chopping down trees, which they can use to make the campfire, as well as additional parts for their shelter.
They will also need to gather the Oxites that are scattering the area, as they can use them to give their Envirosuits a quick oxygen supply.
Once they set their foot in an area within the point G7, they will notice that there is a cave opening. They can visit said cave, and use it as their temporary shelter while mining for mineral ores such as iron and copper.
Once they reached the area within the point F8, they can set up a temporary shelter, as well as a bedroll and a campfire, for them to rest and cook the Meat that they have collected. They can also produce water for their Waterskins by collecting ice that were scattered on the ground in the entranceway towards the Arctic biome.
Once they are rested enough and well fed, they will continue on trekking towards the area within I11 while using their stealth to either avoid the polar bears in the area or kill them by shooting their arrows to their heads. They will also see a cave opening in an area within G9 and G10, where they can use as another shelter.
As they reached the said area, they would notice that there is a Supply Crate. They will open the said crate, and collect the Radar, which is the key item for the Prospect Mission.
Next, they will head straight towards the first scanning location, which is within the point H11. Before setting up the radar at the said location, they must need to construct a platform and a set of ladders first. Afterwards, they will set up the ladders until they met a desired hut. On top of the stairs, they will need to put the said platform.
Then, they will set up the radar to the said location, then interact it in order to activate it. Once it is activated, they will go up towards the platform, where they will snipe down the wild animals that will try to attack the radar.
After the radar finished scanning, they will remove it at the location, and travel towards the second scan location, which is within the area between F9 and F10.
Once they are there, they will build another temporary location, then they will set up the radar. After activating it, they will go inside the said shelter, and just like the first one, they will snipe down the animal lurking around it while it is scanning the location.
After the scan is finished, they will get the radar and head towards the final scan location, which is within the point G9. From there, they will notice an icy ravine with a pathway in the middle. They must set up the radar there and not inside the ravine, as it has wolves inside.
They will wait for the radar to finish its scan before picking it up and run back towards the drop-off point to complete the Prospect Mission.
