Dwayne, "The Rock" Johnson, has recently announced that he plans to do another video game-based movie. The former professional wrestler, who has experience in appearing in several movies that are adaptations from famous games such as a DOOM in 2005 and Rampage in 2018, revealed that he is working on it. He will soon announce it within the year.
In an interview with Men's Journal for his incoming film, Black Adam, Johnson said that he could not reveal further details regarding the said project, but he added that he would bring a major video game title that he played for years and transition it from the TV screens and monitors to the theaters.
He also said that he would do it right because he had several gamers help him work for the said project, stating that they would be going to make a great movie.

This is not the first time the 8-time WWE Champion has been involved in video games. Aside from his aforementioned stints in the theatrical adaptations of DOOM and Rampage, he has also appeared in Fortnite as The Foundation, the founder and leader of The Seven. Johnson voiced the said character, and its design when unmasked was based from him.
Before that, he also appeared in several WWE video games, including WWF SmackDown! for the PlayStation 1, in which he made a video game debut. His latest in-game appearance in a wrestling video game as The Rock was in WWE 2K20.
Outside of the camera, Johnson loves playing the Madden American Football gaming series. However, this is not the video game that he wanted to have a movie based on.
Reactions
After Johnson announced his attempts to create a video game-based movie, several people on Twitter posted several guesses on what game he will be adapting for the said project. According to We Got This Covered, a Twitter user pointed out Fortnite will be his game of choice, as it has a statue of him as The Foundation in it.
Another user said that she wants the former wrestler to portray as Sans, a major character in the Undertale series, while another tweet suggests the Animal Crossing series as she wants him to play as Tom Nook.
Another Twitter user pointed out Fire Pro Wrestling, a professional wrestling game, as the one Johnson would do a movie about, considering the fact that he used to wrestle, while another one wants him to do Izanagi from Persona 4.
Other funny suggestions that the users posted on Twitter regarding Johnson's surprise video game movie project include No More Heroes, Minecraft, Devil May Cry, and Cooking Mama, which the user who said it typed that it wants to smell what he is cooking, just like the catchphrase he used to say in WWE.
