Blizzard Entertainment released the patch notes for Overwatch's Experimental Patch Update.

The update included balance changes for all 32 Heroes from content creators and members of the shooting game's professional Esports scene.

According to Dot Esports, Houston Outlaws coach Jake Lyon and streamer John "Wanted" Lin provided changes for the Damage Heroes, while Overwatch World Cup and Overwatch Contenders shoutcaster Jen "LemonKiwi" Pichette gave the Tank Heroes several tweaks.

Another Overwatch streamer, Mihai "mL7" Lupascu was assigned to bring changes in Support Heroes, including the return of Mercy's Resurrect as her Ultimate ability.

The changes that they have made for the Experimental Patch Update are implemented in the game and for the Overwatch Flash Ops: Experimental Card Creator Cup that will take place from February 18 to 20.

Changes Made

According to the patch notes posted on the game's website, the Experimental Patch Update reduced the damage dealt from a Tank Hero's weapon and abilities by 50%. It also reduced the duration of several crowd control effects applied to them by 50%.

It also increased their armors by 50%, or in Roadhog, Sigma, and Zarya cases, from 0 to 200 or 300, but their Health is decreased and has some of their shield health pool removed.

However, the duration of other Crowd Control abilities such as Mei's blizzard, Reinhardt's Shatter, Zarya's Graviton Surge, and Winston's Primal Rage will remain full.

The Experimental Patch Update also brought back Mercy's Resurrect as her Ultimate Ability.

According to DBLTap, the ability can now resurrect up to five ally Heroes at one, and its maximum range is increased from 5 meters to 8 meters.

It also changed her Valkyrie Ability from her Ultimate Ability to her Second Ability with the Health regeneration coming from it is increased from 55 per second to 70 per second.

It also made the beams from her Caduceus Staff no longer attach to additional allies.

It also made its cooldown become 20 seconds and reduced its duration from 15 seconds to 3 seconds.

On the other hand, her flying movement speed is decreased from 7 to 6 and her Guardian Angel movement speed is also reduced from 25 to 20.

According to The Amuse Tech, other general changes made from the Experimental Patch Update include an increased maximum hitscan range for all Heroes from 30% to 50% and an additional 75% cap on movement speed buffs for allies.

It also added a 75% movement speed buff to Orisa, Zarya, Lucio, and Symmetra.

On the other hand, another Experimental Patch Update for Overwatch has addressed the game's stability issues, while it fixed several bugs that caused Lucio's Speed Boost not to respect the 75% global cap and Symmetra's turret beams not to generate her Ultimate Ability.

It also fixed another issue that did not allow the reduced healing debuff from Reinhardt's Fire Strike to be cleansable.
