The Xbox Series S somehow remains under most people's radar over a year after its release. Most of the time, it's because its bigger brother, the Xbox Series X, is the far more powerful one designed to compete with the PlayStation 5. But with this deal, then maybe you could finally give this little console a chance.

Windows Central reports that the Xbox Series S is now ONLY $250 at Amazon Woot: the lowest price it's been at since launch day. As of this writing, you have 16 hours and counting to get the Series S at its cheapest before its price goes back up again, at which point it might not be a worthy buy anymore.
Aside from the $50 discount, you're also entitled to free shipping if you're an Amazon Prime member. However, don't expect stocks to last until the promo ends, so it will be good for you to hurry if you want to get a next-gen console without breaking the bank.
Lastly, the console also comes with over 100 games out of the box courtesy of a 1-month free trial of Xbox Game Pass-perhaps this era's preeminent game subscription service.
Microsoft launched the Xbox Series S alongside the Xbox Series X as a far more affordable alternative to their 4K-capable gaming console. It had a launch price of $299, which has largely stayed intact, mainly due to how in-demand the Series X is in comparison.
Even now, the Series S has remained cheap compared to its bigger brother due to low demand. One look at eBay, and you can find consoles going for as cheap as $200 used.

Is The Xbox Series S Worth It At $250?
The short answer is yes. It really is. At this price, you can't get a comparable gaming system (not even a cheap gaming PC) that rivals the power of this little console at the same price. It's simply impossible. One could even argue that it's already a bargain at its MSRP of $299 for what it brings to the table, but that's a topic for another time.

For now, take stock of what you can get for $250. Aside from being super available and not always out of stock like the Series X, the Series S packs a lot of power in its tiny body: 1440p gameplay, 120Hz refresh rate, and full support for Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision HDR (via TechRadar).
Sure, you might not get as much resolution and frame rate as the Series X, but that's about it. The Series S is still a next-gen console through which you can see you through the end of the current gaming generation-bar none. It makes a lot more sense if you're a PC gamer with a typical 1440p or even 1080p monitor, as the all-digital console is designed for playing at these resolutions with barely any hitches.
Also, did we mention that the Series S has something that Sony and PlayStation can't compete with (at least not yet): Xbox Game Pass? For that, coupled with what the Series S can do, $250 for it is an absolute bargain.
