'Elden Ring' Player Creates A Character That Looks (And Fights) Like A Sith Lord

'Elden Ring' Or 'Star Wars'? Player Creates A Character That Looks And Fights Like Emperor Palpatine

An Elden Ring player (who we can also assume is a massive "Star Wars" fan) has created a character that looks like Darth Sidious (aka Emperor Palpatine). And it's not all cosmetics, because the character build has the right skills befitting a true Sith Lord.

According to TechRadar, the character built by player Nomadianking has its own version of the Force lightning, a push-back ability not unlike a Force push, and the ability to make their sword glow red-much like that of a Sith Lord's lightsaber.

To top things off, they equipped their character with a hood, black cape, and a long, flowing robe alongside a face that obviously took some cues from the appearance of Palpatine actor Ian McDiarmid in the prequels. Here is a post on the "Elden Ring" subreddit showcasing their build, which has earned over 28,000 upvotes and 665 comments at the time of this writing:

As you can see in the video, this specific "Elden Ring" build looks pretty darn OP as well. Mixed with the specific red-hued abilities, the character pretty much looks like Emperor Palpatine, who somehow made his way to the FromSoftware-verse to take it over and build a new empire.

How The Build Was Made

While this "Elden Ring" build looks complicated to emulate, Nomadianking looks to be using in-game items and skills that you can earn like normal. For one, the lightning attacks seem to come from using an Ancient Dragon's Lightning Spear and Ancient Dragon's Lightning Strike, which both create red lightning attacks.

But for a more authentic Darth Sidious look, it is recommended that players use a Frozen Lightning Spear instead. Here's a video tutorial on how to get the incantation, courtesy of the YouTube channel 100% Guides:

The only thing that wasn't provided was the outfit/armor they used to clothe this pseudo-Sith Lord. It is also not likely to be the most armor to equip as you traverse The Lands Between, so you'd be better off looking for the best "Elden Ring" builds that feature far better armor.

Is This One Of The Best 'Elden Ring' Builds?

What Nomadianking managed to achieve here is nothing short of spectacular, as the character build seems to show a balance of style and power. But if you want to be absolutely overpowered (especially early on) in "Elden Ring," there are far better character builds to try out.

PCGamer shared a few recommendations for both beginners and FromSoftware veterans. Here are two such builds to start with:

Prisoner Build

Weapons: Darkmoon Greatsword, Moonveil, Sword of Night and Flame, Troll Knight's Sword, and the Crystal Sword

Armor: Battlemage set

Spells: Carian Piercer & Greatsword, Glintstone Pebble

Casting: Carian Glintstone Staff, Meteorite Staff

Prioritize: Strength, Mind, Intelligence, Dexterity

This build is intended for folks who want a good balance between sword and sorcery. Considering how magic can allow you to fight at a distance away from the enemy's blows, this build can also ensure that you don't die as much while giving you a choice to fight up close if needed.

Hero Build

Weapons: Greatsword/any strength-scaling weapon which allows you to equip the War Cry ability

Armor: Anything that will keep your character at medium equipment load

Prioritize: Strength, Endurance, Vigor

Ashes of War: War Cry

Talismans: Axe Talisman, Roar Medallion

This is one for the people who want to smash, smash, and smash some more. It's a strength-focused build that puts a lot of emphasis on the output of charged attacks. Powerful attacks can be your best chance of quickly chipping away at bosses, no matter how tough they get.

Here's another guide to the best "Elden Ring" builds, owing to the game's current Meta (via YouTuber Havok).
