G2 Esports emerged victorious with 3-0 win against Misfits Gaming in the 2022 LEC Spring Playoffs last Sunday. In the same game, G2 player caPs also earned new career milestones with his 1,500th kill and 2,000th assist. This advances the team to the second semifinal of the playoffs, where they will be competing against Fnatic next weekend. This also ends Misfit's run for the season.

Many fans have expected this win for G2, thanks to strong veteran members such as caPs and Jankos taking the lead and providing the team with sharp insights and strategies. This comes hot after their win against Team Vitality, whom they swept also with a 3-0 victory, according to a report by Dot Esports

Jankos Showed Precise and Skillful Kills and Map Control

In all three games, the eight-time European Champions showed precision in their attacks, with a few outstanding solo kills and map controls by team member Jankos. Misfits made a few impressive moves themselves, denying the soul point for G2 and also narrowing the gold difference. But these weren't enough to make a comeback after G2's well-calculated readjustments.

By the second match, it was clear that G2 was at an advantage. Flakked took the spotlight with some memorable moves. Misfits, despite their strong set of players, did not stand a chance with G2's mind-blowing skills in macro and skirmishes. In the third game, Misfits tried to counter G2's picks, such as HiRit using Fiora against Broken Blade's Tryndamere. But even these weren't enough to overcome G2 on other parts of the map. In the end, G2 emerged as the clear winner.

Jungler Jankos, despite not producing outstanding numbers or plays in the game, showed exemplary assists. His Hecarim provided the way for his teammates to clear out the rest of the map. Because of this, he was named MVP of the series.

caPs Celebrates Milestone With 2000th Assist and 1500th Kill

Another G2 member also celebrated a milestone in the series, according to a separate report by Dot Esports. Mid laner caPs became the 11th player to earn do 2000 assists and the third player to do 1500 kills in the LEC. The 22-year old G2 veteran is known as one of the most accomplished League of Legends players in the world.
