Stunlock Studios Drops 'V Rising' on Early Access | Newest Vampire Survival Game

Stunlock Studios Drops 'V Rising' on Early Access | Newest Vampire Survival Game

Vampire games are consistent titles under the horror franchise category. Over the years, we have seen how the developers progress in making rich storylines for this gothic genre.

Recently, Sweden-based game maker Stunlock Studios has released its newest survival game based on a vampire story -- "V Rising."

The twist here is you need to defy the odds as a Count Dracula against other monsters. It's far from what we imagine because normally, the developers choose mortals as survivors in a horror title.

"V Rising" is now available to play as an Early Access game on Steam.

According to a report by PCGamer, "V Rising" is now available to play on its Early Access release this week.

As of writing, there are 1,307 game reviews written about the game -- and they are very positive for the developers.

The gaming publication writes that 46,593 concurrent players are participating in its soft launch on Tuesday, May 17. It's also a huge surprise that this game has been climbing on the charts after being placed in the 12th spot on Steam.

For its gameplay, just imagine "Valheim" where your character traverses a town in search of resources that you can use to build your house or your empire. But, it's not an easy task to do since you need to slay many enemies on your missions.

The same mechanics works with "V Rising," but the catch here is you're a vampire. Your blood-sucking character is now on the hunt for resources to keep him alive and strong.

This multiplayer vampire survival game has a lot to offer despite recently coming out on select platforms. As such, it features challenging boss fights and a unique PVP system.

Per Stunlock Studios marketing director Johan Ilves, the day has finally arrived for players to unravel the world of vampires in the moonlight. He adds that it's up to them to see this gem.

"With a lot of blood, sweat, and tears (but mostly blood), we have created the foundations for a truly unique vampire gameplay experience. This Early Access campaign will allow us to fine-tune V Rising and take the final steps in creating a genre-defining gem," Ilves says.

It is expected that the Early Access will last for a year before Stunlock drops the final game version. At that time, the title will already be a complete game with polished gameplay, improved enemies and weapons, and exciting quests for all players.

How to Make Explosives in 'V Rising'

For the first "V Rising" exclusive guide, let's talk about creating explosives in the game. Rockpaper Shotgun reports that you first need to unlock the Alchemy Table.

You can only get there after beating the Carrier boss dubbed "Clive the Firestarter." Train more and get levels as quickly as you can so you can fight better against this formidable opponent.

Once you open the Alchemy Table, you need to place four pieces of Whetstone, eight Planks, and eight pieces of Sulphur into the input slot. You'll now begin the crafting process with the Minor Explosive Box.

After putting it into your inventory, place the Minor Explosive Box on one of the huge rocks. You will see Sulphur in the Vardoran area and mine them later.

To set up a furnace, you can search for copper ore and smelt it later into ingots. Going back to the large rocks, you can easily break them by transforming yourself into a bear.

To become a beast, you need to kill the Ferocious Bear boss located in the Farbane Woods (east side).
