It's been a while since Hogwarts Legacy's first gameplay reveal back in March, and even more time since the game was first announced in 2020. But now, a new video for the game has been released - though it's not really what gamers might be hoping for.

That's because developer Portkey Games. uploaded a video titled A Rainy Spring Night which was labeled ASMR, featuring a closer look at other locations within the game beyond the iconic wizarding school. According to GamesRadar, the video offers one of the best looks at new Hogwarts Legacy gameplay locations that weren't shown as much in the State of Play presentation.
Here is the 20-minute long video, whose description is as follows:
"The rain is falling on a calm spring evening in Hogwarts Legacy - time to unwind with a quiet stroll through the castle grounds and beyond to Hogsmeade. Ejoy the sounds of the wizarding world."
In the video, you are treated to a quick nighttime stroll outside the main buildings of Hogwarts, while the students are likely chilling inside without much of a care in the world. The rain and overall ambience of the video is admittedly relaxing, which is probably why the developers labeled it as ASMR.
You also get a closer look at the houses of Hogsmeade, which played a massive part in both the novels and the books. Although it might be curious to see how there's no NPCs walking around - perhaps a deliberate way to let anyone who watches the video just focus on the environments.
After being denied of a release last year, it seems to be all systems go for the first-ever full-blown, triple-A RPG set in the iconic wizarding world to be released late this year. It will come to both last-gen and current-gen consoles (PS4, Xbox One, PS5, Xbox Series X/S) as well as PC, though there's still no definitive release date yet.

More Details About Hogwarts Legacy
So many new information was revealed involving Hogwarts Legacy's gameplay during its slot at Sony's State of Play event last March. Here are the most interesting, confirmed ones about the wizarding world RPG.
In the game, you will not be playing as any of the established, long-running characters of JK Rowling's universe. Rather, you will be creating a new character right out of the bat. This character will undergo through the iconic process of becoming a student at the school, including being sorted into a house by the Sorting Hat.
But aside from attending numerous well-recognized classes such as Defense Against the Dark Arts and Herbology to name a few, you will also be tasked with uncovering the truth behind the recent resurfacing of an "ancient, powerful magic" that seems to be used by a group led by hostile goblins. The game's combat as such will feature you trying to become one of the best duelists in the wizarding world - yes, you can even use the dreaded Killing Spell to vanquish your enemies.
