Believe it or not, Syed Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan actually began playing Dota at the very young age of eight. To provide some context, SumaiL was born in 1999, which means he is 23 years old as of press time.

According to the Liquipedia Dota 2 Wiki, he and his family moved to the United States in 2012, where he quickly became the highest rated player in the North American Elite league. By the 2015, the then-16-year-old SumaiL was recruited by Evil Geniuses.

It was pretty rough for SumaiL at first when he became a member of the team, especially when he made his LAN debut during the Dota 2 League Season 5 finals, which was held in Las Vegas in 2015.

Per the Liquipedia Dota 2 Wiki, "The team performed poorly at the event, in part to lack luster performance by Sumail." Due to his poor performance, there were those who questioned if SumaiL even deserved a spot in a team like Evil Geniuses.

SumaiL experienced success with Evil Geniuses, including winning The International 2015. Other tournaments he won as a member of Evil Geniuses include the Dota 2 Asia Championships 2015, Dota Pit League Season 3, Mars Dota 2 League 2016 Autumn, and The Manila Masters in 2017.

He stayed with Evil Geniuses until 2020, although it should be noted that he was an inactive member during the latter part of his stay with the team.

After parting ways with Evil Geniuses, SumaiL joined other eSports teams, including OG, Team Liquid, and most recently, Team Secret.

Not only did Evil Geniuses win first place, he also became the youngest person to win an official Valve event. When the DAC 2015 took place, SumaiL was 15 years and 361 days old.

He achieved a similar milestone during The International 2015. Aside from being champion, he also made history by being the youngest player to win an International at 16 years and 176 days old.

Per GosuGamers, his most successful heroes in Dota 2 are Beastmaster, Earthshaker, Templar Assassin, and Timbersaw. They also happen to be his most played heroes as well.
