DualShockers reports the biggest reveals during the latest State Of Play presentation, a good chunk of which were third-party games and PSVR 2 titles. Aside from that, it's also worth noting that there's barely a lot of PS4 titles here, indicating that Sony is more ready than ever to leave last-gen behind.

Here are the biggest games revealed during the presentation, which only wrapped up recently:

  • Resident Evil 4 Remake: Following in the footsteps of the previous RE2 and RE3 remakes, Capcom is once again bringing an iconic classic to the next generation. The game is scheduled to come out on March 24th 2023, and looks to be a PS5 exclusive. Here is the reveal trailer:
  • Resident Evil Village VR: Another confirmed title for the upcoming PSVR2, RE Village VR will take last year's now-iconic game and take its horrors a notch higher. Soon, you'll be able to marvel at just how tall Lady Dimitrescu is in VR. No release date was revealed though, with Capcom only saying that the game is in development.
  • The Walking Dead Saints And Sinners Chapter 2: Retribution: Another confirmed PSVR2 title, this game takes players to zombie-infested New Orleans. Its release window is stated as late 2022.
  • Final Fantasy XVI: Revealed during the tail-end of State Of Play June 2022, a new Final Fantasy XVI trailer showcased more gameplay featuring a real-time combat system and one-on-one duels, writes Tom's Guide. The release window is summer 2023. It's a long way away, but patience is the key, isn't it?
  • Street Fighter 6: As one of the few games revealed at State Of Play that's still releasing for the PS4, Street Fighter 6 is scheduled to launch next year with no definitive date revealed. Fan-favorites Ryu, Chun-Li, and other recognizable characters are set to make a return for the first time since 2016's Street Fighter 5.

PlayStation's Pleasant Surprises

PlayStation fans are not the only ones getting some fun releases soon, it seems, as there are a few games that were seemingly revealed out of left field.

Perhaps the biggest one is the reveal of Spider-Man Remastered (the one first released for PS5) coming to PC on August 12th via Steam. With this announcement, Sony and PlayStation will have released their second AAA offering on the PC this year after 2018's God Of War.

This also makes PlayStation Studios' AAA offerings grow to a total of four on PC, as Spider-Man Remastered follows Horizon Forbidden West and Days Gone. There's no news about whether Sony plans to release Miles Morales on PC, though. Here's the trailer:

To cap things off, No Man's Sky is getting its PSVR2 port. The port was revealed with a short 46-second trailer that showcased familiar gameplay clips, being that the game itself has already been a staple for PSVR1:
